Regular exercise may counteract some of the brain-damaging effects of drinking alcohol, early results from a new study suggest. In the study, heavy drinking was linked with damage to the brain's white matter, but only among those who didn't exercise very much. High Dose Statins linked to Acute Kidney Damage
People who take high doses of popular cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins may be more likely to develop kidney problems, a new study suggests. A recent article by Denise Mann covers how statins can cause more harm than good. Specifically, those participants who took higher doses of statins were 34 percent more likely to be hospitalized for acute kidney injury during the first 120 days of treatment, compared to their counterparts who were taking lower doses.
