Bucknell junior left-handed pitcher Ryan Ebner was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Year. Ebner was also one of six named to the All-Patriot League Team. This is the first time since 2003 that Bucknell has had a pitcher win this award. This year, Ebner owns a 6-1 record with a 4.01 ERA and he has struck out a team-high 49 in 58.1 innings. He has limited opponents to just 14 earned runs over his last nine starts (56.0 IP) and his 3.00 ERA in Patriot League games ranks third in the conference.A tall lefty, Ebner has led the Bison to wins in each of his last nine starts and Bucknell is 9-1 overall when Ebner is on the mound. The owner of a team-high two complete games, Ebner has yielded just 49 hits this season and his .229 batting average against is second-best on the team among pitchers that have logged at least 10 innings.
