  • FAQS

October 8, 2012 by Tony Sabanos

With Halloween right around the corner, many parents are out shopping for various costumes for the children of the household. The other important distinction involved with this celebration is the accumulation of candy. Each child has his/her favorites whether its Jaw Breakers, Mike-N-Ikes, Hershey Bars, Kit-Kats or Skittles. The trick for most parents is trying to make sure that their children do not eat all of the Halloween accumulation at one sitting. Many people will buy their Halloween candy prior to the actual date in hopes of putting some aside. The reality is that most people who buy candy early will also eat the candy early and will go out and have to replenish their stash.

There are some families who have decided to hand out healthier snacks such as apples, peaches, pears, almonds, graham crackers, and protein bars. Most children view this as insulting because after all, the fun is coming home and eating massive amounts of sugary snacks. This can make for an extraordinary long evening for the parents. Listed below is some of the favorite candies that are bought/consumed this time of year. Keep in mind that the manufacturers use different packaging and sizes, so make sure you read the label before you automatically assume the amounts below will equate to what you have bought.
