Marcus came to Xcellerated Speed Training about 8 months ago. He had visited with his doctor and got some horrifying news. The doctor told him if he didn’t change his lifestyle habits which included smoking and drinking that he would probably not live a whole lot longer. This is when he decided to make a phone call to Tony who he had worked with before as a high school student.
The first step was to get Marcus in and take a look at his medical history form and figure out exactly what his problem areas were. We started with his consumption of calories on a daily basis and upon further review he decided to have a customized nutrition plan put together. This way we could track his caloric intake, ratio of proteins to carbohydrates, etc.
After he understood and started following the nutrition, we began other behavioral changes like quitting smoking and drinking. We replaced things that were detrimental to his health and got him into the gym. We started slowly and taking into account his current health status and started with some light interval training. This was a good starting point to increase his cardiovascular health as well as start building some lean muscle tissue.
Within a few weeks of getting his mind and body into a regular healthy routine, we started evaluating what his other goals were. One of the major ones was to completely change his blood work from a death sentence to something that would blow the doctors away. We were able to completely change his blood work in a little over a month. The doctor was completely shocked as to how quickly he had made the changes and the only thing they had to say was, “Keep doing what your doing, because clearly it is working”.
Now that Marcus had more energy and was feeling better, he then decided he wanted to go back to playing soccer. The next steps were to look at where his physical conditioning was and turn him back into an athlete. We not only wanted him to be an athlete but an elite athlete at best. Athletes move in a lot of different ballistic directions, so we had to develop ligament tendon strength, flexibility, and look at any structural imbalances.
Afer another month or two, Marcus is now playing the best soccer he has ever played. His work production in his daily life is through the roof and he has so much more energy he has a hard time finding things for him to do. He is playing soccer several nights a week, still training, and killing it at his job. Here is numbers from before and where we are now.
Marcus has lost 13% bodyfat, his lean muscle tissue is up, has lost 35 pounds to date and is currently living his best and healthiest life. His story shows that no matter where you are in your life, you can always change it to make it what you want it to be. It just requires two things: hard work and dedication. This is what Marcus has to say about his time with Xcellerated Speed Training so far, ” 3 month and 6 month progress. Yes, this is real. No it’s not photoshopped. For anyone who really wants to make a change in lifestyle to be better all around, mentally, physically, and emotionally, and is willing to put in the work, you have to have a consultation with @xcellerated_speed_training_ ..
