It is with great pleasure that Xcellerated Speed Training welcomes a new Yoga Instructor, Linda Zogas,  into the Workplace Wellness program. I thought it would be a good idea to give you a little biography on Linda, so that everyone can understand what background she comes from.

Linda is constantly asked, “Why Yoga?”. The practice of yoga has transformed every area of her life. The athlete and gym rat in her loved the physical practice instantly. The busy and unfocused side of her learned to appreciate the transformation to a better person. She is better because of yoga. The ability to share her practice through teaching is truly a gift she does not take for granted. She believes that the lessons we learn on our mat are the true lessons of how each of us needs to grow individually and collectively. She has learned so much from her students!

Linda is dedicated to the practice of yoga and the practice of learning how to better care for herself; through healthy relationships, better health care, and sustainable fitness. Her teaching style is steeped in the Baptiste principles and she has completed trainings with Baron Baptiste, Yogic Arts with Duncan Wong, Ashtanga Yoga with Beryl Bender Birch, Power Yoga with Bill Raup of Power Yoga Works, Svaroopa Yoga Foundations with Rama Berch and continues to attend Yoga Journal Conferences and workshops to better her practice and teaching. She continues to learn and grow through workshops and private trainings. Her life and practice have taken many twists and turns. She is constantly reminded of Baron’s belief that we find our authentic self by chiseling away what does not belong.

Linda’s teaching style will help you challenge yourself to new heights, transform your life, and sculpt your ideal body. She is dedicated to personal relationships with each student, ensuring success for them along their path. She feels it is extremely important to be connected with her students and their goals. This is a relationship that distinguishes her yoga classes and creates a safe and nurturing environment for all.

One of Linda’s many yoga  specialties Vigorous Flow Vinyasa. This class is steeped in Baron’s belief that you will find your authentic self by chiseling away what does not belong. Yoga is the ultimate journey into truth: truth starts in your body, on your mat. The physical challenge of this practice is built with intrinsic strength and empowers you to purposefully use and train your body the way you do in real life… bending, stretching, lifting, reaching and twisting. Using the time-honored wisdom of yoga, this practice is a dynamic combo of strength, sweat and spirituality. This class detoxifies, heals and electrifies. This accessible, challenging and flowing form of yoga will lead you to a state of transformation: it will sculpt, tone and hone the muscles of your body. Practitioners can expect dynamic asana, creative flows, and integrated Pranayama, creating a moving meditation that will tune and tone you from the inside out. While giving you the tools for navigating life’s changes with grace, power and confidence.

She can also teach Mellow Flow Yoga which is a gentle based Vinyasa class that is slower than the Vigorous Vinayasa classes. This nurturing flow will leave you feeling refreshed and stress free. Suitable for any level of practice with an emphasis on breathe work, meditation and proper alignment. Appropriate for all students, even beginners. These classes are still physically challenging but in a way that speaks to the practitioner looking for mental, emotional and spiritual strength.

Another option is Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga is a popular way for beginning through advanced yoga students to experience true relaxation- often the most difficult skill to master! This class is a therapeutic-style of yoga that promotes relaxation and revitalization of the body, mind and spirit. This class is designed to oxygenate, massage and energize your entire body while soothing and calming your nervous system. Whether you are looking to de-stress, energize or find balance, restorative yoga can be an effective way to reach your goals for overall wellness. Like the framework of conventional yoga, restorative yoga poses can treat the entire body at once or work to target more specific areas. Utilizing props, restorative yoga allows the body to stretch and relax with support. This class is great for those suffering from sports injuries, arthritis, tendonitis, lower back pain, or from too much stress in your life.

If you haven’t tried the Yoga class at 7am on Tuesday mornings, please come out and meet Linda. She will be more than welcoming to students from beginner to advanced and will help guide you through your yoga journey.
