New clue in celiac disease puzzle: Cause of oat toxicity explained

Melbourne researchers have identified why some people with celiac disease show an immune response after eating oats. The researchers have identified the key components in oats that trigger an immune response in some people with celiac disease. The findings may lead to better tests for oat toxicity, and have implications for new treatments being developed for celiac disease. Stress is harder on young women’s hearts, study finds

  Young women with heart disease may take a harder hit from mental stress compared with their male counterparts, a new study suggests. The researchers said the effects of psychological stress, which don't show up on heart patients' regular medical tests, may partly explain why women with heart disease are more likely to die from heart attacks than are men with heart disease.
